Xilai Zhou

Junior Accountant

Xilai Zhou joined SCC in 2022 as a Junior Accountant. Xilai holds a Master’s degree in Financial Econometrics from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Investment & Bank/Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Prior to joining SCC, she worked as an assistant in the Investment Research Department at Chuang Yuan Futures CO., LTD. This experience allowed her to specialize in analyzing stock index futures and macroeconomics, further refining her analytical abilities. She also gained additional skills in data analysis, market research, and data visualization tools as a Business Analysis Intern at Nielsen.

In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Xilai has also been involved in non-profit organizations. During her college years, she served as the Chair of the Chinese Undergraduate Student Association, where she provided guidance and support to incoming Chinese freshmen. She organized events aimed at promoting Chinese traditional culture and established an efficient communication platform to enhance organizational efficiency. Xilai is enthusiastic about joining Somerville Community Corporation and continuing to make a positive impact on others.
