First Source Comes to Malden!

First Source Jobs is excited to be working in partnership with MassHire Metro North Workforce Board to provide career advising, outreach, and career coaching services in the city of Malden. SCC was awarded a contract as part of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission 2019 Community Mitigation Fund Workforce Development Pilot Program grant, with the goal of preparing residents in the Metro North region to gain the skills necessary to meet the workforce demands of employers impacted by the new Encore Boston Harbor gaming facility. Career coaches from the First Source Jobs Team will be working with residents and local job seekers in Malden to build job readiness skills, conduct job search and application assistance, network with local employers, and find opportunities for job training or skill development. We look forward to working with many partner organizations in Malden as we launch this new initiative!

Somerville sits on the original homelands of the Massachusett, Wampanoag, Naumkeag, and Nipmuc tribal nations. We acknowledge the painful history of genocide and forced removal from this territory, and we honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous peoples still connected to this land on which we live and work.
