Interested in improving your English? You’re in the right place!

SCC offers three trimesters of ESOL classes each year, with registration in April, August, and December. We offer three levels of classes: Beginner, Mid-Intermediate, and Intermediate. In addition, all enrolled students receive access to tutors and can join weekly conversation or book groups to practice their skills.

Our classes focus on helping immigrant students navigate the systems in the USA, become strong self-advocates, and prepare for higher education, training, or workforce development. In partnership with our Digital Literacy and First Source Career Coaching programs, our goal is to ensure that all students are empowered to pursue their career goals with minimal barriers.

To enroll, please click this link and follow the instructions. After completing the form, you will be contacted by a team member to determine your class placement, schedule, and tutoring.

We look forward to working with you!

Somerville sits on the original homelands of the Massachusett, Wampanoag, Naumkeag, and Nipmuc tribal nations. We acknowledge the painful history of genocide and forced removal from this territory, and we honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous peoples still connected to this land on which we live and work.
