SCC Welcomes New Arrivals

April 23, 2019

Lizzie Devane

We welcome Lizzie Devane to the SCC team as our new Communications & Development Manager. A local progressive activist, Lizzie is passionate about politics, poetry, plants, sci fi, music, and meditation. She was born in London, grew up in Washington DC, teaches yoga, and is learning how to rock climb and keep bees. Lizzie is excited to connect with the Somerville community through her role helping SCC strengthen its capacity via engaging communications and resource development.

Jose Cedanio

Jose Cedanio joined SCC’s Economic Opportunity team as an Americorps Service Member in January. We have already benefited greatly from his skills and enthusiasm! In addition to being bilingual in English and Spanish, Jose brings with him years of experience working with teams, providing training and coaching, and building collaborative relationships. Jose splits his counseling and support time between participants in Financial Literacy, First Time Home Buyer, and First Source Jobs programs.

Already, Jose has helped staff organize, facilitate, and deliver impactful trainings and information sessions. He has also helped staff to pilot the first-ever dual-language Financial Literacy class, which was a very productive collaboration with the Early Head Start program in Somerville.  Welcome Jose!

New Babies:

We welcome Mesias K. Williams, son of First Source Jobs Coach, Juan Williams and Luca Japhy Roberts Crall, son of First Source Jobs Program Manager, Blake Roberts-Crall!

Our First Source team is growing in leaps and bounds!
