Application for 100 Homes Program

Applications are being accepted for the 100 Homes Program. The application deadline for the initial lottery is 4:00 p.m. on December 5th, 2018.

All applications must arrive at Somerville Community Corporation (address below). If you’ve mailed the application, and it is received after the 4:00 p.m., December 5, 2018 deadline, it will not be accepted. (Therefore, if mailing, be sure to mail your application at least one week before the delivery deadline.).

About the Program and Eligibility

Program Priority: People Facing Displacement. For people who have been issued a notice to quit, or a notice of nonrenewal of lease, or people who are otherwise in the process of a no-fault eviction; and for people who must utilize a mobile housing voucher in Somerville or risk losing it; and for homeless applicants with funding from a Continuum of Care organization.

Rent limits include utilities or will be reduced for an allowance for tenant-paid utilities.

Note:

  •  Tenants selected for initial occupancy and waiting list placement through a lottery. Placement determined by lottery number priority and not the time and date of application.
  •  Subsequent applications will be added to waitling lists in the order received after the deadline.
  •  Apartments will become available on a rolling basis.
  •  Lottery will be held at Somerville City Hall shortly after the application deadline.  Date to be determined and will be posted on www.somervillecdc.org.  Applicants do not need to be present during the lottery as all applicants will be notified by mail.
